hello and welcome to my site! there is currently nothing here because I'm still putting it together, sorry

a "zifius" - also spelled ziphias, ziphius and xiphias - is a medieval cryptid, a sea creature which was described as "unlike any other animal on land or in the sea or in the air" and "like a fish with the face of an owl". I like the idea of a creature that can't be described in terms of anything else but just looks like its own weird self, and I also like the idea of a mysterious owl-faced fish.
